Final point of this long winded rant....
I had a RFI (right, front, inside) truck tire, flat with a bolt hole in it on a kenworth W900.... It was late on a Friday, and I had just discovered it in Holcomb, Kansas after unloading cattle there... I called Kansasland Tire, and the guy said, " if I was there a 1/2 hour before closing time, we can get to it." And I was... (It's Memorial Day Weekend, so I can understand wanting to wrap everything up at closing time and be out to start your weekend... I get all that.)
If you can't train your emoloyees how fix a tire right, not rush a job because it's almost closing time, and RUIN a customer tire, maybe you should get out of the business of "saying" you can fix a truck tire.... peace, I'm out.
Thankful to KansasLand tire,
With my family of 5 sitting on the side of the road with a blow out, they were speedy at getting to us to fix the flat! Price is understandable with the emergency service situations. Thank you to the entire crew!!
Staff acted like I was bothering them asking for a quote. Found it rude and went elsewhere
The Murrow/Golden family
This place has really good service. And the employees are really respectful
The money we saved in sales tax more than paid for the gas. We ordered our tires, set up an afternoon, and were helped the moment we arrived. Good service so far. Tires installed and balanced and aired correctly. Would recommend.
The guy did a great job getting it jacked up, lugs and wheels off, locating hole in tread, and dismounting tire fairly quickly and efficiently. Then the forman told me it might be too big a hole to patch, (wich it wasn't if done correctly) then told the tech to try and fix it. He proceeded to grind a BIG hole all the way the inner liner of the tire, bigger than the patch he used, (pictures attached I took at the Oasis Petro in Colby, Kansas, where they showed me the damage.... Air inside tire just leaks out through big hole in inner liner) when all he needed to do was EVENLY rough up a larger area around hole with a little texture, and patch it! Got a descent deal on a good used tire that matched up with the outside dual for $200, but should NEVER have had to buy another tire to begin with!
