I gave 5 stars because my grandfather, his brothers and my great grandfather were the contractors that built the pool - with lots of help from locals!
Love the staff but the set up of the big pool was just designed to be big not safe or clean.
Good place to bring your kids and relatively inexpensive compared to other pools. $2 per person. Has to be 75 degrees or higher for the pool to open.
Cheap family entertainment on a hot summer day. Concessions are pricey but admittance is not so it balances out.
They weren't overstating that this is a big pool. Actually a series of 4 pools now. Largest hand dug pool in the Midwest. Has 3 large waterslides and 2 smaller slides. Kids 8-16 have to complete a short swim test (and get a wristband) to swim in the large deep pool area. Was fun and not crowded in the 7-9pm timeslot we were there.
