dark brown stained walls, old cabinets with the laminate peeling off or broken, that wonderful moldy stench. dig piss smell in the bedrooms. which brings us to the carpet. clearly has never been changed out, or at least not in a long time. you can literally see the difference in height from the carpet near the walls or where furniture was compared to the foot traffic area where almost no carpet is left. and oh the smell. isn't it a law to change out carpet when it gets this bad? the carpet in the living room has cigarette burns all in it and it smells like an ash tray.
i ask her "can we get new carpet?"
i most certainly did not confuse garden SPOT with garden GROVE.

anyways. long story short, we got tired of living in this hellhole and as soon as the lease was up we moved out. only to find out later she claims we put cigarette burns in the carpet (i don't even smoke!) she claims we owe $7,000 for new carpets and puts a collection on my credit report! and kept my deposit! LIAR FRAUD CRIMINAL SLEEZEBAG

we came to garden city for a job i was offered. i was promised a place to stay by the new employer, but that ended up not being delivered. so here we are, a u-haul full of stuff, and nowhere to live.
This complex is confused with Garden SPOT in most if not all reviews you will find for it. The manager that runs Garden GROVE is a female, doesn't have a police boyfriend, and she is extremely professional and kind to all tenants. She has an amazing memory and will learn every ones name and address as well as be there for any and all your needs. We had a lovely time living there and never had any issues with anything and if something broke then their handy man was there to fix all parts of the homes. They don't have an on site washer and dryer so you have to go to a laundromat but considering how many places we saw before and the conditions you had to live in as well as the people and managers, this will be the last thing on your mind. I recommend this location to anyone that moves to Garden City as we enjoyed it while we there.

I have had no problems living at Garden Grove Properties. The previous negative reviews do not represent the apartments or services at all. The property manager is very easy to contact and willing to help. If there are any problems, maintenance is quick to fix them. The apartments are also clean and well maintained. I am satisfied with where I chose to lease and would recommend others checking Garden Grove Rentals out.

This is a ghetto place. My neighbor was robbed on a Sunday afternoon. It looks nice in pictures, but I don't feel safe.

no, Claudia Carrillo, i'm quite sure i remember EXACTLY where i lived and which property it was, how dare you try and shift the consequences of Garden GROVE's actions onto another landlord. this review is most likely the property manager for grove herself. this is exactly the kind of thing i would expect from her. along with her harassing phone calls 6 years later. even got a few about this review i left. i hope i warned away enough poor souls from this horrible apartment.
Horrible old apartments with no washer and no drier, property manager has been arrested for assulting tennant's and fraudulent rental practices. She makes up damages after you move out and uses you credit report as blackmail to try and get you to pay. She also has her police officer boyfriend come with her and intimidate residents whenever she has a problem with a tennant. Avoid this hellhole like the plague.
